How
to get there

St. Thomas (STT)

If you're flying into St. Thomas (STT), there are two main ferry routes to reach Tortola:

Option 1: Charlotte Amalie to Road Town, Tortola
  • Take a taxi from the STT airport to the Charlotte Amalie ferry dock (~10 minutes, ~$20 per person).
  • Purchase one-way or round trip tickets for the ferry to Road Town, Tortola (~$60-$110 per person).
  • Ferries depart daily at 9:00am, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, and 5:30pm (~50-60 minutes).
  • Upon arrival in Road Town, you'll go through customs.
  • Take a taxi from the Road Town ferry dock to Long Bay Resort (~30 minutes).

Option 2: Red Hook to West End, Tortola
  • Take a taxi from the STT airport to the Red Hook ferry dock (~30 minutes, ~$50 per person).
  • Buy ferry tickets from Red Hook to West End, Tortola (this ferry stops at St. John en route, ~$65-$95 per person).
  • Ferries to West End depart daily at 10:30am, 2:30pm, and 5:00pm (~45 minutes,).
  • There's also a direct ferry from Red Hook to Road Town at 5:00pm only.
  • Once you arrive in West End or Road Town, you’ll go through customs.
  • From West End, it’s just a 5-minute taxi ride to Long Bay Resort.

Taxis from the ferry docks to Long Bay Resort can be arranged directly through the resort for added convenience. Questions? Reference the BVI tourism website for more: https://www.bvitourism.com/ferry-schedules

Tortola (EIS)

Upon arriving in Tortola (EIS), you’ll go through customs—be sure to have some cash on hand for the fee. From the airport, take a taxi to Long Bay Resort (~40 minutes, ~$80 pp).

While flights into EIS are typically more expensive than flying into St. Thomas (STT), it significantly simplifies your travel once in the islands. Getting from STT to Long Bay usually costs around $150–$200 in ferries and taxis, so if you find flights into EIS that are $200–$250 more, it’s well worth the added convenience.

TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED FROM SUGAR MILL hotel AND SEBASTIAN's ON THE BEACH. Final DETAILS TO BE PROVIDED CLOSER to the DATE.
